Protective equipment for the film crew of the Dutch broadcaster NOS (Nederlandse Omroep Stichting), which worked near the front line on the border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Regions last week, was provided by the Dnipro JSC of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

Ukrainian international journalist and media communications specialist Taras Semeniuk, who accompanied the Dutch colleagues, personally contacted the Center with a request for tactical first-aid kits and a bulletproof vest for the safe work of the foreign film crew.

In his report, correspondent Christian Paauwe showed the training of the Ukrainian military and their mastery of weapons and equipment provided by Western partners.

“I hope that Europe sees what is happening here now,” the journalist emphasized in his address to the audience.

We would like to remind you that at all JSCs of the NUJU, journalists can rent branded bulletproof vests, helmets, and tactical first aid kits for free. A mandatory condition is the availability of accreditation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The network of Journalists’ Solidarity Centers is an initiative of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, implemented in collaboration with the International and European Federations of Journalists and UNESCO and with the support of the People of Japan. Our primary goal is to assist media professionals working in Ukraine during the war. The Centers are active in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk. The project is part of UNESCO’s broader efforts to support the Safety of Journalists and Freedom of Expression in Ukraine.

Call the Dnipro JSC at 050 919 8479 (Nataliya Nazarova, the coordinator of the Dnipro JSC). The Center’s address is 8 Starokozatska Street.
