On April 23, 2026, Ukrainian line producer, casting director and a servicewoman Viktoriya Bobrova with the callsign ‘Kvitka’ (Ukrainian for flower) was killed in the Kharkiv Region in the area of ​​performing a combat mission. This was reported by her comrades from the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelweiss, in which the defender served, as well as the relatives of the fallen.

Her daughter’s death was confirmed on social networks by her mother Olha Bobrova: “Yes, it’s true, my ‘Kvitka’ is gone, my daughter is gone. But she will always remain with us, forever young and beautiful.”

Viktoriya Bobrova had the rank of lieutenant and held the position of officer of the communications department of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelweiss. The last week before her death, she served as the head of the brigade’s communications department. Viktoriya joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the summer of 2024, changing filming locations for front-line work.

Before the full-scale invasion, Viktoriya Bobrova worked in the field of film and television production. She was a casting director for feature projects and a line producer for documentaries, in particular, she participated in the creation of the films “How I Spent Summer Vacations” by Antonio Lukich and “Double Immelman” by Vera Yakovenko. Viktoriya also worked as a casting director for the TV series “One Family. Wedding”, “Occupied”, “Friends” and “Cold”.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) expresses its sincere condolences to the family, brothers and colleagues of Viktoriya ‘Kvitka’ Bobrova. Eternal honor and bright memory of the fallen defender who gave her life for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
