“We already understand that the russians are aiming to completely destroy this area of the city,” says Andrii Hryn, a correspondent for Hromadske Radio from Kramatorsk, in a comment to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU). During the day of April 25-26, as a result of shelling of the city by the occupiers, his apartment was damaged twice.
The journalist said that overnight into April 25, russian troops shelled the area of Kramatorsk where he lives with machine guns and MLRS with cluster munitions. Apartment buildings, the private sector, and critical infrastructure were hit. As a result, windows were broken in Andrii Hryn’s apartment, OSB boards were blown out, with which the damage from the shelling in March was patched up. The journalist’s car was also hit.
And on the morning of April 26, the terror of Kramatorsk continued – again a series of strikes: the russians hit with guided bombs and MLRS. And again, damage – the fifth since the spring of 2024 – to Andrii Hryn‘s apartment. The front door and door handles were damaged.
“Everything that was not damaged before flew out,” the media person summarizes.
As a reminder, in March we reported that the apartment of a Kramatorsk journalist was damaged as a result of a drone hitting a residential building.
