A russian FPV drone hit the car of Yana Mozul, a journalist for the online publication akzent.zp.ua. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC).

It all happened at night on May 6. The car was parked near the family’s private house.

At about half past one in the morning, the family heard the sound of a drone above the house. A second later, there was an explosion and the car was hit directly. The car instantly caught fire.

Yana and her family ran out to put out the fire on their own. Due to the repeated threat of an attack, rescuers and police could not arrive at the scene quickly. While the flames were being extinguished, other drones circled over the house and people had to literally run between the house and the burning car.

Fortunately, the house survived. The debris cut through the fences. The worst part is that the fire almost reached the fuel tank. The family managed to put out the fire before an even bigger explosion occurred.

The car was seriously damaged: the impact hit the front of the car.

Yana‘s family is not the first time experiencing the consequences of russian shelling. They had previously suffered serious damage in Marhanets. Now, due to constant attacks, they may have to move…
