THE NATIONAL UNION OF
JOURNALISTS OF UKRAINE
Co-working in the Dnipro Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) in the city of Dnipro has been operating for two years. Journalists always come here – to work or solve a problem, to record an interview, to meet with colleagues. Recently, they have been applying more often – due to long-term power outages in the city in particular.
The other day, Nataliya Larionova, a journalist from Donetsk, visited the co-working space.
Together with her husband, also a journalist, Nataliya moved to Dnipro in October 2022. Since then, the regional branch of the Union has supported colleagues in every possible way, involving them in the events of the Center in the life of the media community. And in March of last year, thanks to NUJU and the German government, the couple received a new laptop for work. Currently, the media woman works in the editorial office of the Shabbat Shalom newspaper, and also runs information channels for immigrants.
The media site of the regional Union is also in demand. Members of the Discussion Club gather here, and press conferences and round tables take place.
Dnipro journalist and media manager Serhii Cherniavskyi recently used the press center. The expert conducted a thorough analysis of the current state of print media and, during an online event, presented to colleagues the results of the study titled Media Landscape Of Print Media In Ukraine For 2020-2024. The Impact Of The War On Print Media In Ukraine.
The co-working space for journalists has everything you need: laptops, a professional camera with a tripod, a microphone, and a video lamp. The Center has a charging station and a generator in case of a blackout. And thanks to colleagues from Visti Prydniproviya – energy-independent Internet has also recently been available.

The Journalists‘ Solidarity Centers is an initiative of the NUJU implemented with the support of the International and European Federations of Journalists and UNESCO. The initiative is designated to help media representatives working in Ukraine during the war.
