The Ukrainian Media Fund has handed over equipment to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) to increase the stability of the Ukrainian media in wartime conditions.

We obtained it yesterday in our central office on Khreshchatyk Street, Kyiv.

Among other things, the Union will give laptops to the winners of the 10 Laptops For Local Media contest. They will be received by their new owners by approximately mid-August. Those who could most convincingly talk about their desire for economic stability were selected by an independent expert jury under completely transparent conditions.

The Swedish agency, SIDA, supported the purchase of the equipment for Ukrainian media workers.

As earlier reported, in the opinion of the NUJU expert commission that consisted of unrelated and unconcerned colleagues, most convincing in their application about the economic sustainability of their media and their vision prospects were newsrooms from Sumy Region, Donetsk Region, Kharkiv Region, Bucha Town, Chernivtsi City, Lutsk City, Rivne Region, and the Chernihiv Region.
