This was discussed at the round table “Safety of women journalists in Ukraine during the war” in the main office of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).
UNESCO representative, Eser-Ruperti Antonia, who joined the event, noted there is one thing that impresses her while working in Ukraine.
“Wherever I go and wherever I am, I see an incredible number of strong Ukrainian women,” she said.
She added that UNESCO’s support since the beginning of the full-scale invasion is that the organization tries to listen to the needs of Ukrainians as much as possible.
“NUJU plays a central role in this, as do our other partners. The safety of women journalists is one of the main areas that UNESCO is working on worldwide,” summarized the representative of the organization.
