As a result of today’s russian attack on Dnipro, the house where the journalist / editor-in-chief of the website Pershi Misrski (Kryvyi Rih) Oleksandr Koptev lives was significantly damaged. The missile fell a hundred meters from the house.

“The roof was hit the hardest — the blast wave damaged it very badly, practically destroyed it. The roof needs major repairs. There was a lot of damage in the entrance, the neighbors’ windows and doors were broken,” Oleksandr Koptev says in a comment to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

The journalist’s apartment was also directly affected. The most serious problem is that after the second impact, several deep cracks appeared in the main wall.

“The situation is emergency, I’m afraid it may collapse,” Koptev notes.

The windows in the apartment survived, but the facade and armored doors were damaged. Household items were damaged by the blast wave. A fire broke out in neighboring residential buildings as a result of the impact. There are no military targets in the area, the journalist emphasizes.

The Dnipro Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC), together with the board of the regional organization of the NUJU, will petition the NUJU to provide material assistance to their colleague.
