“There is still a lot of small glass in the apartment and on us. But it is definitely better than if the glass were flying in large pieces – then the injuries would be more serious. Yesterday, everyone was washing off the glass particles that had gotten into their hair, clothes, and bodies. I am very glad that my back took the brunt of the blast wave because otherwise, it would have been worse.”

Yevheniya Virlych, the editor-in-chief of the Kherson online media outlet Kavun.city, spoke about the condition of her apartment after the recent shelling of Kyiv.

According to the journalist, the blast wave seriously damaged her temporary housing in Kyiv. The journalist received cuts from the glass, and doctors diagnosed a possible concussion.

“20 minutes before half the house flew into my back, I finished making a presentation on decommunization and decolonization of toponyms in Kherson. Symbolically,” wrote Yevheniya.

The media worker will solve bureaucratic issues and restore housing: the windows of her apartment have already been covered with OSB boards. She also plans to go to the hospital because of bruises and dizziness.

Colleagues massively supported Yevheniya — with their willingness to come to help financially and with warm words. “I fulfill wishes and drink restorative coffee… Every one of your messages and every donation was displayed in my notifications,” – the media worker thanks.

You can support Yevheniya financially by replenishing the BANK.
