Suspilne cameraman Volodymyr Chepynoha injured in a russian strike on the Kherson Region

On March 4, at approximately 19:45 in the suburbs of Kherson, as a result of a drone attack by military formations of the russian federation, the cameraman of the Suspilne.Kherson Volodymyr Chepynoha was injured.

As reported by the manager of the branch of Suspilne in Kherson, Mykhailo Svarichevskyi, Volodymyr suffered a fractured leg bone, cuts with shrapnel in the pelvis and both legs, burns on his hands, and a contusion.

According to the regional representative of the Institute of Mass Information in the Kherson Region, Serhii Nikitenko, the cameraman was injured in his own house in the village of Antonivka by an explosive dropped from a drone. The village is in a red zone under constant shelling. The cameraman’s house was also damaged as a result of the explosion.

As of today, Volodymyr has undergone surgery; his condition is stable. Rehabilitation continues.

The branch of Suspilne thanks the police officers for their promptness and assistance in moving the wounded man and the doctors for their qualified assistance and humane attitude.

Treatment and further rehabilitation require financial assistance.

“Volodymyr Chepynoha, a high-class cameraman with many years of conscientious work experience on Kherson Television, desperately needs our support due to his injury. Let’s support him!” urges the head of the Kherson regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Valerii Dolyna.
