At approximately 11 p.m. on the second of September, the enemy once again shelled Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the night attack, two people were killed, and two more were injured. They are currently in the hospital. One of the city’s hotels was destroyed, and windows were broken in dozens of apartments and private houses.
Journalists immediately, as soon as the security situation allowed, left for the place of arrival.
“The morning of a Zaporizhzhia journalist is to go to the shooting. On the site of a new attack by russian troops on Zaporizhzhia. Late at night. A civil object. A small, cozy family hotel on the outskirts of a residential area. The deceased are the owner and her young son. The head of the family and the eldest daughter are in hospitals; they are in serious condition…,” said Radio Liberty correspondent Yevheniya Nazarova after working at the scene of the tragedy.
The Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) draws attention to the fact that the places of missile hit are periodically fired upon again. Observing all safety measures, as well as having protective equipment and a first aid kit, can save your life.
In the Zaporizhzhia JSC, you can rent a bulletproof vest, a helmet, and a first-aid kit, and there are also periodic first-aid training sessions.
