Volodymyr Buha, a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) and a special correspondent of the Niezalezna.pl portal, has met with the Minister of Culture of Norway, Annette Trettebergstuen.

During the conversation, the journalist told the minister about the conditions Ukrainian journalists are working in and what additional help they need. Volodymyr Buha also spoke about the work of journalist support centers in Ukraine.

At the end of the conversation, our colleague asked the minister whether, in her opinion, the authorities of a warring country should create conditions for free, uncensored, impartial news coverage and guarantee freedom of speech.

Annette Trettebergstuen said: “Freedom of speech is essential. And this is undeniable for us. Journalists must have the freedom to report information. Nobody and nothing can limit this freedom.”
