The Dvorichna Community of the Kharkiv Region, divided in half by the front line, has its own printed newspaper back with the help of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).
As the editor-in-chief Andrii Fomin notes, the Dvorichanskyi Kray newspaper, the pilot issue of which was published after a long break on July 1 with the financial support of local donors, has now received funds from the NUJU for several issues at once.
“The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine sincerely admires the resilience, courage, and will to live shown by journalists who, despite all the troubles, are ready to continue working so that the residents of the region receive objective, verified, and helpful information,” emphasized the President of the NUJU, Sergiy Tomilenko. “We sincerely congratulate the editors and readers of Dvorichanskyi Krai on the restoration of the newspaper and believe that the time is not far when all residents of the community on both banks of the Oskil River are able to read their favorite newspaper.
The latest issue of Dvorichanskyi Krai has already been printed. Soon, it will be delivered to the residents of the community.
