On May 1, journalist and military Oleksandr Bondarenko was laid to rest. The farewell ceremony began at 11 a.m.

“How scary it is when a son says goodbye, says that life goes on and that his father would not want these tears,” Oleksandr’s colleague, Yan Dobronosov, captioned the farewell photo with these words.

As earlier reported, Oleksandr worked at the RMA Strategic Communications Agency. He started his career in the media at FM radio in Luhansk, worked for BBC Ukraine, and later worked at Ukraine TV and Radio company. After that, he started to work in the field of communications.

He had been at the front since the first day of the full-scale war. Oleksandr Bondarenko served in the 112th territorial defense brigade of the 244th battalion. An enemy sniper’s bullet killed the soldier.

Oleksandr was buried at the Lisove Cemetery in Kyiv.
