Ivano-Frankivsk has hosted a regional forum called Air Wave dedicated to the Day of Radio, Television, and Communications Workers. The event brought together managers and media workers of Prykarpattia TV and radio companies, who, since the first days of russia’s full-scale invasion, have not stopped their activity.

The deputy head of the regional state administration, Bohdan Futerko, congratulated the media people on their professional holiday and presented them with certificates and thank-you letters. Andrii Flora, the video operator of the Kolomyia TV and radio company NTK, who defended Ukraine from the enemy, was presented with the Medal For Merits Before Prykarpattia.

Liliya Bodnarchuk, the head of the regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), and Viktoriya Plakhta, the coordinator of the Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the NUJU, told the meeting participants about work in war conditions, assistance to displaced media workers, seriously injured colleagues, activities of the School of Journalism and the JSC. The speakers noted that the radio and television workers who arrived from the war zone and front-line territories found their second home in Prykarpattia. And they were helped in this by the regional organization of the NUJU and the JSC of the NUJU.

Ihor Maslov, a representative of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting and a member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, also informed about the reform in the media industry.

Mariyana Kobelia-Zvir, the director of the consulting company Chas Zmin Development Center, introduced the forum participants to grant opportunities for the media.
