Sweets and gift sets from the Japanese philanthropist Mr. Jun’ichi Kowaka and the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) were handed over to the children of displaced journalists currently living in Chernivtsi on St. Nicholas Day at the Chernivtsi office of the Unified Western Ukrainian Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the NUJU.
Today, journalists who evacuated and are now far from home but managed to find themselves in journalism in a new place testify to their high professionalism and desire to stay in the profession.
“The JSC, for us, media workers, is an island of safety, reliability, and kindness, where we feel at home,” says Oksana Kovaliova, who visited the JSC with her youngest son Sasha.
