The team of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) at the Kyiv Journalists’ Solidarity Center welcomed Flutura Kusari, an authoritative media lawyer from the German European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), an expert of the Council of Europe.

“She is a real guardian angel for our fellow refugees who were forced to leave Ukraine because of the war. The Journalists-in-Residence Kosovo in Pristina is currently a refuge for 13 Ukrainian journalists,” says Sergiy Tomilenko, the President of the NUJU.

The Union team presented Flutura Kusari with the NUJU flag – a symbol of unity that will now unite us across borders and distances.

“And, of course, a huge warm greeting to our Kosovo friends! Especially to Xhemajl Rexha, the incredible president of the Association of Journalists of Kosovo. Your support is invaluable! Journalists are important! And it is important that we are not alone in our struggle for the truth and freedom of speech,” emphasizes Sergiy Tomilenko.
