“The South must be free from the russians and for journalists,” TSN special correspondent Nataliya Nahorna writes about the statement, in which more than 130 leading front-line reporters, media, and journalistic organizations demand to replace Nataliya Humeniuk, the head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.

The full text of the statement is published by the IMI.

According to Nataliya Nahorna, journalists are again forced to declare censorship in the South of the country… When media workers are not allowed to even enter Kherson without a special permit and go to areas where minibuses go.

Bihus.info war reporter Anna Kaliuzhna also comments:

– It is impossible to work normally on that axis – as we work on others. Ms. Humeniuk‘s work leads to irreparable consequences, both informationally and on the battlefield.

The statement was also signed by Oleksandr Motornyi, Anton Skyba, Anastasiya Stanko, Kostiantyn Liberov and Vlada Liberova, Oleh Baturin, Yuliya Kyriyenko, Oleksandra Yefymenko, Alla Khotsianivska, and Ruslan Smeshchuk.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) also stands in solidarity with the calls of military personnel and public organizations.
