TV-radio and newspaper journalists well-known in Zaporizhzhia and currently staying in European countries in the status of forced migrants have joined the network of freelance foreign correspondents created by the Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Centers (JSC). Among them are Nataliya Marenko (Germany, Dresden), Nataliya Aharkova (Czech Republic, Prague), Olena Hulaya (Austria, Vienna), Vitalina Doroshenko (Lithuania, Vilnius), Anatolii Serdiuk (Israel, Haifa), and Oleksandr Zhytomyrskyi (Israel, Ashdod) and Yuliya Tyslenko (Ireland, Castlebar), as well as other media persons in other countries.

Their task is to send to the NUJU‘s JSC materials about support for Ukraine about charity events for Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia. These posts and photo-video stories will be published on the website of Zaporizhzhia regional organization of the NUJU, on the Facebook of the JSC, and the regional organization of the NUJU.

Instead, the colleagues currently staying in Europe will receive materials from the JSC, video, and photo reports from the front-line areas, including the one in the Zaporizhzhia Region, videos in support of Ukraine and distribute them in the host countries so that Europeans have information firsthand and strengthened support for Ukraine in the fight against the ruscist [russian] invasion.

The first material was sent by TV journalist Nataliya Marenko, who temporarily lives in Dresden. She spoke about demonstrations in support of Ukraine, which are taking place in Germany this week against the background of increased missile attacks on Ukraine by Russia. Protests have already taken place in Hamburg, Halle, Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Aachen, Dresden, and Munich.

  • “My family and I actively participate in many events organized by the Coordination Center for Work with Ukrainian Refugees in Dresden, where about 10,000 of our compatriots have found shelter and social protection. With my youngest son, who has been living in Germany for a long time, and his family, we will donate to the Armed Forces, help local volunteers who continue to send medicines and things for compatriots to Ukraine, etc.,” Nataliya Marenko

Call the Zaporizhzhia JSC at 096 277 5352 (Nataliya Kuzmenko and Valentyna Manzhura, the co-coordinators of the Zaporizhzhia JSC). The Center’s address is 152 Sobornyi Avenue.
