“A media person yesterday, and a defender today…” is the name of the photo exhibition organized by the Dnipro regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) for Independence Day of Ukraine. From now on, the photos decorate the walls of the Dnipro Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the NUJU. The heroes of the photos are media workers who changed a journalist’s pen, microphone, or camera to a combat weapon to protect Ukrainian freedom. There are more than 30 photos of 15 media representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

“Ukraine is celebrating Independence Day for the 32nd time, and for the second time in a row – in conditions of war. Today, our country proves to the world its desire for freedom – it opposes russian military aggression. And during this time, the whole world saw the bravery and dedication of our people,” stressed Oleksii Kovalchuk, the Board Chairperson of the JSC the NUJU, opening the photo exhibition.

Call the Dnipro JSC at 050 919 8479 (Nataliya Nazarova, the Dnipro JSC coordinator). The Center’s address is 8 Starokozatska Street.
