Our fighters are looking forward to the publication of the new issue of the We Are From Ukraine newspaper, which is published by the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) together with the Union of Journalists of Lithuania.

“Our fighters have read the We are from Ukraine! newspaper from its first issue. It is passed from hand to hand; it is actively discussed. Because in every material, we feel the pulse of our common struggle against the enemy, we find true news and stories about people who inspire, add strength and confidence,” noted Bohdan Vasylenko, press officer of the Zaporizhzhia Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.

He personally came to the Journalists’ Solidarity Center in Zaporizhzhia to pick up a newspaper and randomly met with displaced journalists, local media workers, and volunteers. A well-known journalist from Zaporizhzhia took part in the meeting, as well as a volunteer hospitalist Olena Shevchuk. She delivers the newspaper to her wards – military men treated in hospitals.

“You are doing an essential thing. People, like air, need truthful information about the war, about events at the front, about Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers who are fighting for our freedom,” noted Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Yurii Malashko, during a recent meeting with NUJU President Sergiy Tomilenko and the leadership of the regional journalist organization.

As you know, the We Are From Ukraine! newspaper is published by the NUJU and the Union of Journalists of Lithuania and distributed in the front-line territory; it is read by thousands of displaced persons from temporarily occupied towns and villages who have found refuge in Zaporizhzhia. Volunteers and military journalists deliver it to military hospital patients, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and soldiers of the National Guard.
