The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) continues the program titled Strengthening the Energy Independence of Ukrainian Media and aimed at supporting newsrooms in wartime conditions. Thanks to the partnership with the Ukrainian Media Fund, media outlets can receive targeted financial assistance for the purchase of 10 EcoFlow RIVER 2 Max charging stations.

The program is designed to solve one of the most pressing problems faced by newsrooms, unstable power supply. The charging stations will allow laptops, cameras, lighting equipment, and routers to work autonomously, both during blackouts in the office and in the field. If there is a justified need and green light from the partner, it is possible to purchase more powerful EcoFlow models.

Who can participate?

Independent Ukrainian media of all forms of ownership are invited to participate: regional and local publications, online newsrooms, television, and radio companies. Priority will be given to newsrooms that demonstrate editorial independence, adhere to journalistic standards, and are not subject to political or commercial influence.

Application deadlines:

  • Application start – August 7, 2025
  • Application deadline – August 12, 2025
  • Announcement of results – August 14, 2025

To participate, newsrooms must complete an online questionnaire and justify the need for energy-independent equipment.

The program is part of a larger NUJU initiative aimed at increasing the resilience of Ukrainian regional media in wartime and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of newsrooms regardless of the state of the country’s energy infrastructure.
