Overnight into July 31, russian troops launched a combined strike on Kyiv. As a result of the enemy attack, the house of the Channel 24 presenter, Kateryna Soliar, was damaged.

This was reported by Channel 24 with reference to Kateryna Soliar.

Kateryna Soliar said that that night she decided to lie down in the corridor, and it was this decision that probably saved her.

“In principle, I am alive… I don’t know yet how I can be helped, while my hands are shaking, but I am normal,” Kateryna says in a video shot almost immediately after the attack.a

The presenter also showed a photo from her apartment after the shelling. According to her, the explosion tore out the door of the house, and the footage also shows broken windows.

“There was a Stritenska candle [religious – symbol of light and grace] next to me, maybe it was it… It was given to me from Lviv,” added Kateryna Soliar.

Russia launched a massive strike on Kyiv on the night of July 31, killing eight people, including a 6-year-old boy, and injuring 124 people, including at least 10 children. More than 100 civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged, including residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, medical institutions, and universities, with particularly severe destruction in the Sviatoshynskyi District.
