Sports journalist from Rivne Volodymyr Kotsur killed at the front

Another tragic news from the battlefield. A prominent sports journalist, 53-year-old Volodymyr Kotsur, has been killed at the front.

According to Sport.ua, Volodymyr was born in the Rivne Region.

His materials were published in leading Ukrainian sports publications such as Ukrainian Football, Team [Komanda], Sport-Express in Ukraine, and others.

Volodymyr Kotsur joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2022.

“His death is a tragic loss for the Ukrainian media community, for defenders of freedom of speech, for everyone who values ​​responsible journalism and courage,” the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informs.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) expresses its sincere condolences to everyone who knew and loved his colleague Volodymyr Kotsur. May his memory be bright…
