An important result of the recent visit of the President of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Sergiy Tomilenko, and the First Secretary of the Union, Lina Kushch, to Warsaw was the allocation of funds by the management of the Polish Gazeta Wyborza and its Foundation to support Ukrainian local newspapers, including Zmiivsky Courier from the Kharkiv Region.

“We once again thank to the President of the NUJU, Sergiy Tomilenko, who highly appreciates the work of the editorial team of our newspaper during the war, financially and materially helping us to survive,” says the editorial in the latest issue of Zmiivsky Courier.

During the trip to Warsaw, Mr. Tomilenko did everything he could to convey the truth to his Polish colleagues about the work of Ukrainian journalists in the de-occupied and front-line territories, including Zmiivsky Courier. As a result, the management of the Polish Gazeta Wyborza and its Foundation, through which dozens of Ukrainian media receive regular assistance, decided to support Zmiivsky Courier and finance the salaries of the newspaper’s employees.

For which we thank our Polish colleagues. Together to victory!”
