The missile strike on April 6 destroyed the new newsroom of the FREEDOM TV channel and the premises where the renovated studio was being rebuilt after the February shelling.

The offices of the international newsroom (UATV English, The Gaze, UATV Español, UATV Arabic, UATV Português), the Dim TV channel, the broadcast equipment, and other working spaces were also damaged.

The three upper floors of the business center were destroyed, and a large crater formed near the building. The lower floors were also seriously damaged and are currently unusable.

“This is the second attack in less than two months. We cannot yet fully assess the scale of the damage caused. The main thing is that no one from the foreign service team was injured. We continue to go on the air,” said Yuliya Bin, the CEO of the Multimedia Platform for Foreign Service of Ukraine state-run enterprise.

Despite the damage, the FREEDOM TV channel continues broadcasting from a backup studio.
