The Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has called the russian attack on the premises of Suspilne Dnipro, which resulted in damage to a number of media outlets and media organizations, a war crime.
“Ukraine: russian drone attack in Dnipro destroyed the premises of the Suspilne media outlet and the media protection organization IMI, resulting in the loss of their equipment. The city’s TV tower was also damaged. RSF condemns attacks on civilian objects as war crimes,” reports Reporters Without Borders.
On the evening of November 17, Dnipro came under a massive attack by russian drones. As reported, the regional newsrooms of Suspilne Dnipro and Suspilne Donbas, the regional newsrooms of Ukrainian Radio, the regional hub of the Institute of Mass Information Mediabase Dnipro, and the Youth Media Center were damaged as a result of the strike. The television tower was damaged. The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine issued a statement: “Russia is not only at war with cities or infrastructure. It is at war with the truth – consciously, purposefully and systematically.”
