Iosyp Burcho, the editor-in-chief of the Odesa publication Press Courier [Pres Kuriyer], receives a new laptop from the NUJU. The device, he says, will help adjust the production process.

“We will edit the newspaper on a new laptop,” the editor says. “Thanks to it, we will be able to publish the newspaper promptly. Our typesetting machine runs on a desktop computer with outdated software. Therefore, we have problems submitting the electronic version to the printing house because they work there with more modern equipment our computer does not interact well with.”

According to him, it is difficult for editorial offices to update equipment on time. Therefore, such assistance is always needed. In addition, Press Courier celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

“So, getting a laptop is like a birthday present,” Iosyp Burcho added.

Providing technical support by the NUJU is possible thanks to close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany (in cooperation with the Academy of the Ukrainian Press).
