Active creative and volunteer activity in Israel was launched by a member of the NUJU/famous Zaporizhzhia vocalist and composer/laureate of All-Ukrainian competitions/volunteer, Anatolii Serdiuk, who had to stay in Israel for a long time due to family circumstances.

This was discussed at a meeting organized at the Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the NUJU, visited by Anatolii Serdiuk during his short visit home.

Anatolii Serdiuk came to Ukraine, as he said, to breathe the air of his hometown, to repair the apartment that was damaged by the shell hits, and, of course, to visit the NUJU Journalist Solidarity Center, where he held more than one exciting meeting from the first days of its operation. Since the beginning of the war, Anatolii Serdiuk has been a volunteer in Zaporizhzhia. He helped the military hospital, gave concerts, collected money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), wrote songs, and met with the military and volunteer organizations.

In Israel, Anatolii Serdiuk did not limit himself to concert activities. He also took the opportunity to prove himself as a journalist – he interviewed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel, Yevhen Korniichuk.

Displaced journalists, local media representatives, and people acquainted with Anatolii listened to their colleague’s story with pleasure. Back in Zaporizhzhia, he wanted to record an album of patriotic songs but found no funds. He hopes to realize the plan in Israel at the expense of a special grant.

At the end of the meeting, he presented his colleagues with a mini concert singing his already famous and newly composed songs. He also performed one of the most famous Jewish songs, Hava Nagila.

Call the Zaporizhzhia JSC at 096 277 5352 (Nataliya Kuzmenko and Valentyna Manzhura, co-coordinators of the Zaporizhzhia JSC). The Center’s address is 152 Sobornyi Avenue.
