The Zaporizhzhia Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) helps media people obtain accreditation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Recently, journalists asked the JSC for help in obtaining AFU‘s accreditation. The journalists are active members of the Zaporizhzhia regional organization of the NUJU and perform their work with dignity, adhering to current requirements and standards. That is why it was decided to facilitate the obtaining of accreditation.

“We always try to help our colleagues. We were contacted by two media people – Ihor Lavrov and Svitlana Zalizetska. We collected the necessary package of documents, wrote a letter, and within ten days, the journalists received their accreditations,” says the co-coordinator of the Zaporizhzhia JSC, Valentyna Manzhura.

Ihor Lavrov is a famous young Zaporizhzhia photo artist. Before the full-scale invasion, the photographer liked to discover the unique flora and fauna of Khortytsia Island. But after February 24, 2022, Ihor had new tasks – to cover the life of the front-line territories and the fierce struggle of our military against the enemy.

“Thanks to the Zaporizhzhia JSC for assistance in obtaining AFU‘s accreditation. Without your help, I would not have succeeded. Now I can do my job even better!” photographer Ihor Lavrov shares his impressions.

Svitlana Zalizetska is a resettled journalist from Melitopol. She had to live in the occupation for some time, but still, she was able to leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine. Now, Svitlana continues to work in journalism, but in order to do her job one hundred percent, she needs AFU‘s accreditation.

“The Zaporizhzhia JSC helped me when I left occupied Melitopol. Now, I again turned to the JSC with a request, and again, they did not refuse me. Noble people work here, who will always listen, hug, treat me to tea, and, as in my case, help me get the necessary accreditation. Thanks for your work! You are the best!” rejoices Svitlana Zalizetska.

Call the Zaporizhzhia JSC at 096 277 5352 (Nataliya Kuzmenko and Valentyna Manzhura, the co-coordinators of the Zaporizhzhia JSC). The Center’s address is 152 Sobornyi Avenue.
