The Ivano-Frankivsk Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) handed over sixty sets of KinderSurpise chocolate sweets to the children and grandchildren of residents, as well as displaced media workers temporarily living in our city. Almost thirty more were sent to colleagues in Kherson, with whom the Center closely cooperates. The JSC received sweet gifts from the Community of Sant’Egidio in Ivano-Frankivsk. Together with the organization, the JSC, along with the Ivano-Frankivsk Archdiocese of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), implements one of the important projects titled Partnership for Victory.
“A set of KinderSurpise sweets, with toys inside, adds interest and helps make happy moments in a child’s life. Such pleasant gifts for our grandchildren, which we received from the Journalists’ Solidarity Center, are a great opportunity to please our little ones. I am sincerely grateful for the constant care for the children and grandchildren of the Prykarpattia media community. Only recently, our children received diplomas and presents based on the results of the creative action of children’s drawings “I am from a family of journalists,” which was held by the Center, and now here is such a surprise. Thank you for the childhood that I was able to bring to the studio today. Everyone was happy, and I was the most,” said the grandmother of six grandchildren (in the first photo), Halyna Filipova, the secretary of the primary organization of the NUJU, the regional television Halychyna.
Valentyna Pestushko, a media person, received and distributed the gifts to her colleagues from Kherson via the Nova Poshta postal service. She, risking her life, did not stop her journalistic activities in occupied Kherson almost until its liberation. She left for Ivano-Frankivsk as early as October 2022. In the summer of last year, she returned to her hometown. She is engaged in his favorite journalism and actively cooperates with the Ivano-Frankivsk JSC.
Within the scope of its activities, the Center constantly provides various kinds of help and support to journalists in the profession, displaced media workers and colleagues from the subordinate regions of Volyn, Rivne, Chernihiv, and Kherson.
Call the Ivano-Frankivsk JSC at 066 677 0726 (Viktoriya Plakhta, the Ivano-Frankivsk JSC coordinator). The Center’s address is 25 Sichovykh Striltsiv Street.
