Halychyna TV chief director Volodymyr Kukuruza passes away

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the chief director of the regional television Halychyna, Volodymyr Kukuruza, has suddenly passed away.

This was reported on the television company’s website.

Volodymyr Ivanovych [patronymic name] was a film and television director, an honored artist of Ukraine, and a member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine and the National Union of Local Historians.

For almost thirty years, he worked on the Halychyna TV channel. He was the director of such children’s shows as Halochka and Skarby Yasenya, which won many awards at all-Ukrainian and international festivals. Since 2003, he had been the permanent director of the historical and educational program Vulytsia [The Street]. Besides, he was a co-author of the programs Temples Of Prykarpattia, Traveling, Over A Cup Of Coffee, and My Word.

The NUJU expresses its sincere condolences to the relatives of Volodymyr Ivanovych. Eternal memory!
