Current challenges for Ukrainian media professionals who cover the losses in communities due to war every day were discussed by the President of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Sergiy Tomilenko, and the NUJU First Secretary, Lina Kushch, with Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma/Senior Advisor for Training and Innovation, Gavin Rees.

Previously, the expert worked on British, American, and Japanese channels and made documentaries for the BBC and other independent media. In addition, he headed the European representation of the Dart Center for many years and has significant experience in organizing educational programs for journalists covering traumatic events. Now, he has come to Ukraine to help Ukrainian media professionals.

The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma is a project of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, which helps journalists effectively cover violence, conflicts, and tragedies.
