Due to the massive attack by russian Shaheds on the TV tower in Kryvyi Rih, there is no central digital TV and radio broadcasting

In a comment to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), the representative of the National Council in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Olena Demchenko, said that the tower survived, it was de-energized, and law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions. After that, employees of the KRRT (Concern for Radio Broadcasting, Radio Communications, and Television) will be able to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the attack.

“Currently, the channels of all digital multiplexes, the local broadcaster Rudana TV and radio company, and three radio stations — 91.6 Lux, 93.2 Classic, and 93.6 Power FM — are not broadcasting,” Olena Demchenko noted. “However, the local Radio Megapolis and radio Kryvbas are working, because they were able to switch to backup power.”

Also on the air is the First City TV channel, which broadcasts on the city’s cable networks.

The Kryvyi Rih TV tower provides a radius of television and radio signal coverage of 65 km.

In total, as a result of a massive suicide attack on the night of March 6, about 30 residential buildings, four educational institutions, infrastructure facilities, and private enterprise were damaged in the city.
