Denys Lut, a resident of Brovary Town, has found a press card of the British journalist Iain Overton while walking through the streets of Ukraine’s capital.

“I was not far from a military equipment display near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and saw that there were documents lying on the ground,” says the man. “I read that the press card was issued by the British Association of Journalists. I entered the words ‘union of journalists’ into the Google search bar as I thought it would be faster to return them through the NUJU. And I also thought that a foreign journalist is doing important work here, covering problems in our country, so we should show ourselves from the best side.”

Currently, the NUJU is trying to hand over the documents, including our colleague’s bank card, to the owner.

The NUJU thanked Denys by presenting him with a booklet from the Sparks of War 2022 photo exhibition, which displayed a collection of the best photos by Associated Press photojournalist and Pulitzer Prize finalist Efrem Lukatsky and other famous photographers.
