Photojournalist Roman Chop noted that it is very important for the world to see that Ukrainians are fighting and what is happening in the war zone.

Roman takes his photos using the Canon R10 camera received from the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).

“The camera recorded the events in Bakhmut and its surroundings, on the Lyman axis and near Toretsk. I’m sure that everyone has seen photos and videos. I am convinced that soon, Canon R10 will capture the liberation of the settlements from Russian occupation, the state flag flying over the de-occupied Donetsk, Simferopol, and Luhansk, our victory parade, and the ruins of the Moscow’s Kremlin,” wrote the media representative on a social network.

In his comments to the publication, NUJU President Sergiy Tomilenko wrote: “We are proud to make a modest professional contribution to your courageous work! Incredible historical photos are taken at an incredible risk. We wish you to become a photographer of the Victory.”

As earlier reported, three Canon R10 cameras and additional memory cards and batteries, as well as sleeping bags, were handed over on March 2 by Sergiy Tomilenko to talented front-line photographers, including Roman Chop, who constantly work in the war zone and risk their lives to cover consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The event took place at the Kyiv Journalists’ Solidarity Center of the NUJU.
