On April 24, a russian shell hit the house of a journalist from Nikopol and a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Viktor Artemenko. The house had been restored with the assistance of our Union and Italian media after another shelling earlier.

“We have trouble again – Viktor Artemenko‘s house was damaged again. A projectile hit the roof directly… It is to thank God that he remained alive. But he can’t find the cat…,” Yuliya Bilyk, the head of the Nikopol journalist center, told the NUJU.

At the end of March, we were able to purchase and install a new front door and window through a concerted effort, but unfortunately, yesterday, the house suffered even more damage.

In the building where the studio of the YouTube channel Good Evening, We Are From Nikopol! was equipped, everything was damaged: the roof was broken, the ceiling collapsed, the walls were damaged, and the windows were broken.

“Our studio was hit by a direct hit from a russian shell. The studio at this address no longer exists. But we will continue the work,” the journalist wrote on Facebook on April 23.

According to Viktor Artemenko, the city utility services have already stretched the film over the roof and boarded up the windows. But our colleague really needs help at the moment.

We sympathize with colleagues and express our support. We believe that with joint efforts, we will be able to overcome these terrible times!
