A three-day workshop of the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) for the expert group on gender equality and diversity took place in Milan.

“Participants and participants from more than 10 European countries consider the issue of overcoming cases of harassment at the workplace. This applies to both harassment of women and men. We have already considered how the convention of the International Labor Organization protects the rights of male and female workers to safe workplaces and the absence of harassment….” said the First Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Lina Kushch.

Lina Kushch said that it is important not only to use legal mechanisms but also to create response algorithms within each newsroom to involve unions and associations of journalists.

“We continue to develop a list of measures that involve all interested parties in solving these cases: management, employers, unions of journalists,” added the First Secretary of the NUJU.
