Ukrainian journalists turned on the sound of air raid sirens during the Russian’s speech at the Global Media Forum in Germany.

Lina Kushch, the First Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), reported this from the spot.

“Ukrainian GMF participants mostly ignored the speech of Novaya Gazeta editor Dmitry Muratov. But not all of them followed suit. The participants representing the Nakypilo publication turned on the sound of the air raid alert,” said Lina Kushch.

“That was merely a reminder that wherever the Russians are, and the Russian language is heard, Russian rockets and sirens may follow. By the way, Muratov left the post in November 2017 but was reinstated in 2019. He was the winner of the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize,” wrote the Nakypilo Telegram channel.
