The support of international partners was and is critically important for Ukrainian journalists in the conditions of a large-scale war. This was emphasized by the First Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Lina Kushch, during a meeting with the executive director of the Global Forum for Media Development, Mira Milosevic.

“I handed over newspapers from Kherson, Bakhmut, Snihurivka, Barvinkove, Orikhiv, and Lyman to the head of the organization. The newspapers’ revival would be impossible without partners’ support,” said Lina Kushch.

The coalition unites more than 110 organizations working in the field of media and journalism. Coordination meetings to help Ukrainian journalists have been introduced. Lina Kush takes part in such meetings.

Mira Milosevic noted that although a number of donors have refocused on other fields of aid, the problems of Ukrainian journalists are in the field of vision of the coalition leadership. The search for solutions to the challenges faced by Ukrainian colleagues continues.

At the end of the meeting, Lina Kushch handed over to the executive director a photo taken in front-line Orikhiv during a visit of the NUJU President Sergiy Tomilenko.
