A symbolic photo worth a thousand words. The latest issue of the Lyman-based newspaper, Zoria, depicts a photo in which four editors-in-chief of front-line publications, revived with the support of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), are holding their newspapers.

In the photo, from left to right: Anatolii Zhupyna (Novyi Den, Kherson), Svitlana Ovcharenko (Vpered, Bakhmut), Oleksandr Pasichnyk (Zorya, Lyman), and Kostiantyn Hryhorenko (Obrii Iziumshchyny, Izium).

These people and their newsrooms are a true symbol of the invincibility of Ukrainian media. Each of them brought a newspaper back to life in a city that had experienced either occupation, heavy shelling, or evacuation of the population.

The meeting took place in the Lviv Region during another seminar of the NUJU, where the editors discussed professional issues and challenges of working in front-line conditions.

Their publications often remain the only reliable source of information for residents of areas where there is often no electricity or internet.
