The russian attack by the Shaheds on Kyiv overnight into March 23, which also damaged the office of OBOZ.UA, a publication that is among the TOP-10 news sites in Ukraine, was condemned by the U.S. Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), OBOZ.UA reports.

The organization called on the invaders to stop hitting Ukrainian civilian objects. This was written on the page of the Europe and Central Asia Program of the CPJ on X.

“CPJ strongly condemns this attack and calls on russia to stop hitting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine,” the message says.

The CPJ is an American non-profit organization based in New York and has correspondents around the world. The CPJ promotes press freedom and protects the rights of journalists. American Journalism Review called the organization the Red Cross for Journalism.

As earlier reported, during the russian attack, the blast wave shattered windows and doors in the OBOZ.UA editorial building, and the studio was seriously damaged. The building next to the newsroom suffered significant damage, and a fire broke out there.

Overnight into March 23, russia massively attacked Kyiv with drones. High-rise buildings burned in several districts of the capital. Three people, including a 5-year-old child and her father, were killed. At least ten more people were injured.
