In March 2025, children of journalists from vulnerable categories received more than 100 sets of sweets thanks to the cooperation of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) and the Ukrainian Federation of Food Banks (UFFB). Despite the destruction of part of the cargo as a result of the russian strike on the Nova Poshta terminal in Sumy, the benefactors resumed the shipment so that the children of media workers in front-line regions and displaced people would feel the care and support of the journalistic community.

Since June 2023, the NUJU, with the partner support of the UFFB, has been providing humanitarian assistance to media workers, including families affected by the war. Sweets, such as chocolates, fruit purees, and dragée, were delivered to different parts of Ukraine. The first to receive aid was in the front-line Zaporizhzhia, where it was distributed among IDPs and large families.

Sweets were also delivered to media workers in Zhovti Vody, Marhanets, and Kryvyi Rih. In Kharkiv, this is not the first time that children of media workers have received sweet and useful gifts. The Kyiv-based NUJU organization claims that the UFFB has become a benchmark for unique social assistance to compatriots.
