The Dnipro Journalists’ Solidarity Center (JSC) of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) held a round table discussion on the work of media from the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson Regions in conditions of relocation. Yuliya Khorolska, the director of Capri Television LLC from the front-line Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region, shared her experience of working in conditions of war and forced relocation.

“We have been working since 2004, and this year, we could have celebrated our anniversary, but on September 16, due to enemy shelling, the building, our office, and the TV tower were partially destroyed. Fortunately, none of the employees were injured because they were evacuated,” said Yuliya Khorolska. “Some of the valuable equipment was taken out in advance; they understood that the front line was approaching….”

Until September 1 of this year, Capri covered most of the Donetsk Region. The broadcast was conducted in Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, and nearby territories. Today, they work remotely to run a YouTube channel, website, and social networks.

“We communicate with people who remained in the city, we get information from official sources. I can’t say anything about further plans. To put it mildly, there are still many issues to be resolved,” adds the director of the TV channel.

Call the Dnipro JSC by dialing 050 919 8479 (JSC coordinator Nataliya Nazarova). The Center’s address is 8 Starokozatska Street.
