During a meeting in Lviv with the participation of the leadership of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), heads of regional organizations and local media, Ivanna Rudyshyn, the editor-in-chief of the VolynPost news agency and an NUJU member, said that the agency had created a non-governmental organization.
The war, the journalist says, knocked stability from under the feet of all media workers but, on the other hand, forced them to overcome new challenges and look for ways to maintain stability.
“The war made the agency acquainted with the NUJU. I turned to the Union in order to understand how other mass media are overcoming the crisis and what help the Union can offer. Now I know: here you can hope for journalistic solidarity,” said Ivanna.
With the beginning of the great war, the publication team actively participated in various training sessions, projects and created the NGO called Information In Its Pure Form. It was possible to propose an idea, which received support, to an international organization through a grant application. They are implementing another small project and will submit ideas for grant support again.
