The editor of the Mezhivskyi Meridian newspaper, Yevhen Khrypun, at the suggestion of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), was awarded the Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine – for many years of work, for dedication to the profession, and for the truth. Recently, the media worker received an award.
In these challenging times, frontline journalism holds a special value. The fact that the newspaper of the Dnipropetrovsk region was mentioned in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is a recognition of the importance of the media, which daily maintain the information front despite the war, evacuations, pain, and losses.
“We talked with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk about Mezhova, about the frontline press, about journalists who maintain the information front alongside the military. He handed over copies of the newspaper, which has passed the path of generations of media workers and today is a symbol of endurance, courage, and indomitability of our countrymen,” says Yevhen Khrypun.
“Mezhivskyi Meridian turns 95! This is our newspaper; this is you and about you – dear countrymen! Let’s stick together… The most difficult period in the modern history of our region, next to it – war, evacuations of families with children continue… It is difficult and painful… He told the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada about this… Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked all of us… For being… Mezhivshchyna…,” wrote the media worker on Facebook.
