“Cluster munitions from a multiple-launch rocket system hit the area where six journalists from the Sumy media outlet, Kordon.Media, live today,” said Aliyona Yatsyna, a co-founder and director of Kordon.Media.

The publication’s office is located a few hundred meters from one of the hit sites.

The journalists recorded the consequences of the shelling and simultaneously rescued the injured people.

“The ability to provide first aid (until the ambulance arrives) should be a skill that everyone who lives in a warring country has. In a city that has been hit by long-range MLRS for the second day in a row, even more so,” Aliyona Yatsyna emphasized.

According to her, the team regularly practices first aid skills and role distribution. Unfortunately, most team members have already had to apply this knowledge in practice.

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, today, at around 9 a.m., the russians launched a sneak attack on the center of Sumy. One of the shells hit a busy road – just during the morning traffic. People were on business… There were hits in six locations in the city.

Three civilians were killed: two men – even before the arrival of medics. Another woman was taken to the hospital in an extremely serious condition – she could not be saved.

At the moment, 24 people are injured. A total of 15 people remain in the hospital, and eight are in serious condition, including three children. One girl is in extremely serious condition.

Apartment buildings, private houses, non-residential premises, medical facilities, and cars were damaged. Rescuers, police, volunteers, and a psychologist are working on the scene. The injured are being assisted in repairing damage to their homes.
