The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) presented power banks to Oleksandr Pasichnyk, the editor-in-chief of the Zoria newspaper (Lyman), Dmytro Kliuchko, a journalist of the Informator publication, and Telegram channel Ukraina Seichas, as well as to editors of the Ukrainian News agency.

According to Dmytro, such equipment is vital because, in hot spots where he will soon go again, the phone is always on.

“In the war zone, I try to continuously film everything happening so as not to miss anything interesting. After ашму hours of non-stop filming, you won’t even notice how everything will be discharged. There is no way without recharging,” the journalist states.

“This is not the first time Oleksandr Pasichnyk has received help from the NUJU. In particular, the Union contributed to the restart of the newspaper in Lyman after the de-occupation. Since October, eight issues have already been published. Currently, part of the newsroom works in Kyiv, and the other – from Lyman. The compatriots receive the newspaper along with humanitarian aid,” Oleksandr says.

The NUJU has the opportunity to provide equipment thanks to the cooperation of the NUJU with our international partner Fundacja Gazety Wyborczej through the Ukrainian Media Fund.
