As a result of russia’s massive missile attack on Kyiv on the night of June 17, the apartment of Serhii Yeremenko, a journalist for the STB TV channel’s Vikna TV show, was damaged, the channel reported.
Serhii Yeremenko was in his apartment during the attack. The blast wave destroyed all the windows in his apartment and damaged the balcony. The journalist escaped injury because he was in the hallway, the safest place in the apartment, during an air raid.
Significant damage was also recorded in neighboring buildings, including fires and complete demolition of roofs.
As earlier reported, overnight into June 17, the russian occupiers attacked the Ukrainian capital with a complex of various means of destruction: unmanned aerial vehicles, Kalibr cruise missiles, Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, cruise missiles launched from Tu-95 strategic bombers, and ballistic missiles. The main blow, this time, fell on Kyiv. In particular, there was a direct hit of a ballistic missile in the capital’s nine-story building. The entrance to the basement was destroyed.
This case is yet another evidence that the russian occupiers continue targeted attacks on civilian infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities, violating all norms of international humanitarian law.
The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) condemns russia’s terrorist attacks on Ukrainian cities and expresses support for the injured colleague.
