The death of journalist, director, and military officer Kostiantyn Shtyfurak was reported by the Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University.
Kostiantyn, a graduate of the history faculty of this university, joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2022. He served as the commander of the UAV detachment of the Hell Hornets unit of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa (call sign Director), conscientiously and responsibly performing combat missions on the front lines.
In civilian life, Kostiantyn was a journalist and director. From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, he consciously stood up for the defense of the Motherland. He remained in the ranks until the last, demonstrating courage, resilience, responsibility, and loyalty to Ukraine.
“It seems that among my friends who are fighting, Kostya, a cheerful giant, was the least created for war,” his friend, director of the A-95 consulting group Serhii Kuyun, wrote on Facebook. “Unfailing and responsible, he agreed to any offer. In recent years, until 2022, he worked as a cameraman, in particular, one of the few who shot videos from quadcopters, when it was not yet mainstream. I remember how, without hesitation and with these finger-twisting, he gladly agreed to film an illegal mini-refinery in the Kharkiv Region. “I’m going there anyway, I’ll drop by!” It was always very easy with him…”
As Serhii Kuyun told the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), Kostiantyn died of his wounds in the hospital on December 14.
“He was always so bright and cheerful, that smile of his! Eternal memory and glory as a Hero of Ukraine!” wrote Kostiantyn’s colleague on television, Tetiana Drahomyretska.
For those who want to thank their parents, Konstantin’s friends organized a collection: https://send.monobank.ua/jar/82BYRsXSap
